Payment Methods Setup

Operational payment methods define how completed sales are labeled in orders and reports.

Setup Areas

- Dashboard > Payment Methods for cash, card, and other accepted methods.

- Card Types for reporting card brands.

- Other payment methods for delivery platforms, wallets, or local payment workflows.

Suggested Setup

1. Keep default cash and card methods simple.

2. Add only the delivery or wallet methods your staff actually uses.

3. Upload icons only when they help recognition.

4. Disable old methods instead of creating duplicate names.

5. Check the Orders filter after live payments start coming in.

Reporting Impact

Payment method names appear in orders history, receipts reports, payment breakdowns, and filters, so inconsistent names make reports harder to understand.
