Mintcom product catalog tutorial

Import Products from CSV or Excel

Use Dashboard > Migration to move a catalog into Mintcom with column matching, validation, and an import preview. The uploader accepts CSV, XLSX, and XLS files.

Prepare the File

1. Export your current catalog and keep an untouched backup.

2. Download the Mintcom import template or consult the source export guide on the Migration page.

3. Keep one clear header row. Use consistent category names and numeric prices without currency symbols.

4. Preserve leading zeros in barcodes and keep variants and add-ons consistent with the mapping options.

5. Confirm the correct establishment before uploading.

Preview and Import

1. Upload a small representative sample first.

2. Match source columns to the fields in the preview.

3. Review validation issues and quick fixes. Resolve required-field and price errors before continuing.

4. Check category, variant, barcode, and add-on mappings rather than assuming every source exports them in the same way.

5. Import the ready rows and read the result summary, including rejected or skipped rows.

6. Find the imported products in the dashboard and test several in the POS.

Avoid Duplicate Imports

Keep the result and batch reference. If the connection drops, check Recent Imports before submitting the same file again. Review existing identifiers and the preview before retrying a corrected file.

Undo and Other Data Types

Recent Imports provides batch history and an undo action where supported. Read the impact and result carefully; do not assume all later edits or sales can be rolled back. Customer and historical sales imports have their own workflow and should be verified separately.

Completion Check

Compare a sample of product counts, categories, prices, barcodes, and variants with the original export. Keep the backup until the team confirms checkout and reporting are correct.
