Using Support Tickets Effectively
A clear support ticket helps the team reproduce the issue faster and reduces back-and-forth questions.
Include These Details
- Business or establishment name.
- The screen or workflow where the issue happened.
- The affected user, register, order number, invoice, or product if relevant.
- The exact error message if one is shown.
- Screenshots or steps to reproduce when available.
Good Ticket Example
"Register 2 at Downtown Branch cannot print kitchen tickets. Printer test works, but order 1042 did not print after payment at 3:20 PM."
Avoid
- "It does not work" without a screen name or order number.
- Sending card numbers or sensitive passwords in the ticket.
- Opening multiple tickets for the same issue unless support asks you to.
